Special autonomy funds have helped the government to curb separatism in Papua, which Governor Barnabas Suebu says is sparked by poverty.

Barnabas said Monday that Papuan people were now accelerating development in their villages, using between Rp 200 million and Rp 500 million in special autonomy funds for each village.

As mentioned in one of its paragraphs that “Muwah tikhan i wandan, ambwan (Ambon) athawa maloko wwanin (Fakfak)” were claimed as the sovereign territory of the kingdom of Majapahit.
