More serious govt attention needed to curb HIV/AIDS in Papua

A legislator has called on the government to be more serious in curbing the spread of HIV/AIDS in the Indonesian province of Papua. Yorris Raweyai made the remark in response to reports that 144 servicemen of the XVII/Cenderawasih Military Command had tested positive for HIV/AIDS.

IPWP and ILWP not supported by the European Parliament

Jayapura (SN) - European Union support to the struggle of the International Parliamentary for West Papua (IPWP) and the International Lawyers for West Papua (ILWP) to smooth the Free Papua Movement denied by the former ambassador of Indonesia to Belgium and Luxemberg, Najib Riphat Kesuma. In his press conference in Swissbell Hotels Jayapura, Najib said that the declaration IPWP and ILWP in Brussels on January 26, 2010 only a handful of people attended. EU Parliament member who attended the declaration is just Carolin Lukas (European parliamentarians from the UK-Red), Theys Berman (member of Parliament from the Netherlands-Red). This shows that the propaganda ILWP and IPWP sell the unsold Papua issue because the only response by the second of a total of 736 MPs of the European Union.
